Dying in one's sleep is boring, boring, boring. Thanks for the post, that made me smile.Lizahttp://goodtogrow.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8850578816787718159.post-46312557487822958562010-06-01T15:55:18.878-04:002010-06-01T15:55:18.878-04:00This is a very thoughtful reflection on the wonder...This is a very thoughtful reflection on the wonders of the green world. Because my garden is set in the woods, though, green is the dominant color year round (including winter, when the scene is defined by big conifers). So I can actually find the lush greens of high summer a bit overwhelming, and the color of flowers provides welcome relief. For me, daylilies are the workhorses of the summer garden. While each individual flower only blooms for a day, the genus provides color for months. By growing varieties that include the extra early species flava, very late varieties like Sandra Elizabeth and Autumn Minaret, and rebloomers, I can have daylilies in bloom from late May until our first serious frost in September or October. -JeanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8850578816787718159.post-42120323905281252722010-06-01T07:28:28.936-04:002010-06-01T07:28:28.936-04:00Thomas, your last two postings are, in a word, bri...Thomas, your last two postings are, in a word, brilliant. It is difficult to know on which image, line of prose, or musing to comment. So I'll just say (quoting Dr. ATG Cirelli) "Green is good!" and "More green, less noise!"ginger+https://www.blogger.com/profile/09698348247242750740noreply@blogger.com
